I worked for the George-Anne Media Group for four years. I started as a sports layout designer for the George-Anne newspaper and eventually moved into designing covers. After two years of being magazine design editor for the Reflector magazine, I was promoted to Creative Editor-In-Chief of the whole organization. I ran all aspects of designs for our print publications, but my primary focus was the newspaper. Below are a few newspaper designs I have done over the years. When I started at the George-Anne we went for a magazine style of design rather than the standard newspaper layout. When I moved to the magazine, the newspaper lost that and the pages became less exciting. As Creative EIC, I decided to bring that style back, and the designs below showcase some of my vision as art director as well.
