In my design systems class, we were tasked with creating a project of our choosing based on career of design that we are interested in. I am interested in package design and branding, so I decided to create a makeup collection. The company I created is called Dolce Noir and it is a company that focuses on creating makeup that is vibrant on every skin color. I was inspired to create the honey collection and wanted to add a spin on the typical honey collection. Most of the makeup companies that did a honey collection focused on the stripes and honey comb, but also made everything bright yellow. I wanted my packaging to be darker, so that the colors I used on top would pop. I also wanted to use gold instead of yellow to make it more of a sophisticated collection. Along with the collection, I created a promotional bag, website home design, and a video ad for the products.
